Plan Your Head Spa Experience

Booking:

• All head spa appointments require a non-refundable retainer.

• The retainer is applicable to any service. If you no-call/no-show or cancel outside of our cancellation policy (48 hrs), that amount will go directly to your service provider to compensate for their time.

• We are a cashless facility but do accept all major credit cards.

• Our Independent Stylist Collective maintain their own booking systems, service menus and pricing. They are not employees of Village Root.

• Accessibility: Our building is 150 years old, unfortunately there is no ramp access. Please email us if you require special access and we will do our best to make sure you get to experience the head spa!

What to Expect:

• If you haven’t filled out your consult form via email you must fill it out and sign upon arrival. This is how we customize and ensure the safety of your experience.

• You may change into one of our robes, wraps or capes! It is not a requirement. However, if we cannot access your neck, shoulders or arms we cannot service that area.

• You may change into our slippers. If you are receiving a foot facial we encourage you to take advantage of this!

• If you are receiving a custom facial during your head spa, please arrive makeup-free.

• We love questions! Please do not hesitate to ask for special accommodations or considerations. We will always do our best to make you comfortable.

• Most people prefer to relax or even sleep during their experience - that’s great! Feel free to chat as well, but please keep the spa atmosphere in mind.

• Blow-dry is not included in the scalp facial. If you would like a blowout, please book this in addition to your scalp facial.

• Gratuity is graciously accepted and goes directly to your service provider.

• We operate by the golden rule. Any hate speech, bullying, harassment or simply bad vibes will not be tolerated. We are a safe space for all considerate humans. Leave your worries and any negative energy at the door. This time is for you; reset and enjoy.

Good to Know:

• Yes, you will get wet.

• You will leave with towel-dried hair unless you book a post-facial blowout.

• Our scalp facial bed capacities are 400 - 600 lbs.

• Robes and wraps are available in sizes sm-4x.

• This experience is completely flat on the back. It is not recommended for those with back problems or issues laying flat for long periods of time. We do have a variety of pads, bolsters and blankets to aid in your comfort. Please ask!

• We have 2 beds in our spa room - similar to other beauty bars in the area. We do have a divider for privacy and changing. You may be enjoying a service in the same room as another guest.

• There is free street parking available in front of the spa and in our lot behind the spa from Wall Street. You’ll see a green building and a carriage house in the lot.

• We do not have a receptionist but do our best to monitor calls and emails accordingly.
